Michael Jordan's Game-Worn, Autographed 'Dream Team' Jersey to be Sold at Auction

April 14, 2020

Want an autographed Michael Jordan "Dream Team" jersey he wore during the 1992 Barcelona Olympics? From now through April 19, his Airness' autographed jersey is in auction with bidding starting at $25,000.

The online auction is held by memorabilia company Robert Edward Auctions and started last Tuesday.

Based on the auction's description, the jersey is signed by Jordan himself with a Sharpie that says, "Best Wishes/Michael Jordan." It was purchased in September 1992 for $17,500 and all the proceeds were donated to the Michael Jordan Foundation at the time.

The white, mesh No. 9 jersey last appeared in a public auction during spring 2013 where it sold for $53,325. The jersey, according to Robert Edward Auctions, was worn by Jordan in games vs. Argentina, Lithuania, and Canada, and in the gold medal game against Croatia.

The 1992 USA "Dream Team" is considered to be the greatest basketball team ever assembled with Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and other basketball Hall of Famers on the roster.
